MCUBS MidCity投資法人の資産運用会社であるMCUBS MidCity株式会社が、7月にスポンサーである三菱商事・ユービーエス・リアルティ株式会社と合併することを発表した。 スポンサーの1社である関電不動産開発が、資産運用会社の株式を三菱商事・ユービーエス・リアルティに4月に売却する予定で、これによりスポンサーが三菱商事・ユービーエス・リアルティ1社となる予定であったが、資産運用の統合や運営基盤の安定を目的に合併に至る。 これにより三菱商事・ユービーエス・リアルティは、日本リテールファンド投資法人、産業ファンド投資法人、MCUBS MidCity投資法人の3つの投資法人の運用会社となる。各投資法人の投資対象が異なることや、用途毎の優先検討権ルールの策定、意志決定の独立性を目的とした運用体制の整備により、利益相反を防止する。 なお、投資法人の合併予定はなく、それぞれ上場を維持する。
