日本賃貸住宅投資法人（RRI）の主要スポンサーであるリプラス(株)が、24日破産手続き開始の申し立てを行った。リプラスは、RRIの資産運用会社であるリプラス・リート・マネジメント(株)の株式55%を保有する筆頭株主。RRIのプレスリリースに拠ると、リプラスの破綻に伴い、保有株式は銀行と相談の上、第2位株主であるオークツリーグループへ売却される予定。 RRIの保有資産は法令上スポンサーと分別保管されており、破綻の直接的な影響はないため、RRIは上場維持される。但し、RRIの保有物件131棟うち111棟がリプラスの家賃保証システムを利用しているため、エンドテナントの滞納賃料の回収に影響を及ぼす可能性があるとしている。 またオークツリーが現在実施中のRRIの投資口公開買付は、リプラスの破綻が公開買付の撤回事由に該当しないことから、引き続き実施されるとしている（※）。 ※9月25日にオークツリーより、リプラス(株)の破綻はRRIの投資に影響を与えるものではなく、資産運用会社の運営を行い、公開買付けを引き続き実施するとのプレスリリースが公表されている。
