ジャパン・ホテル・リート投資法人が、第22期（2021年12月期）中間（1月～6月）決算を発表した。 当中間期における物件取得はなし。スポンサーを割当先とする第三者割当増資を行い、客室改装工事の資本的支出に充当した。 緊急事態宣言の延長を受け、当中間期における変動賃料24物件のRevper（客室当たり売上）は3,320円と前年同期比26.8％低下。 主要なオペレーターであるHMJが運営するホテルは、第22期のみ固定賃料は発生せず全額変動賃料となる。これに伴う固定賃料の減少が影響し、中間期は1,488百万円の純損失となった。 第22期通期は、オリエンタルホテルユニバーサルティの敷地一部を追加取得。 2月に業績予想を公表したが、その後緊急事態宣言の延長や、当期は変動賃料の占める割合が高いことから、業績予想を算定出来ず、未定に変更した。 ワクチン接種の進展によるアクターコロナに向け、ホテルの売上げ改善、コストの見直し、賃料条件の改定等を実施し、収益の向上を図る。
