民事再生中のニューシティ・レジデンス投資法人（NCR）の債権者集会が15日開催されたが、大口債権者の同意が得られずローン・スター・グループを新スポンサーとする民事再生計画案は否決された。9月9日を続行期日として、再度決議される予定。一方、ビ・ライフ投資法人（BLI）及びスポンサーである大和ハウスが、NCRの新スポンサーとして再生支援する意向を示した。再生計画の変更案が再否決された場合、NCRは破綻する可能性があり、破綻を回避するため、大口債権者が代替案をBLIへ提案した。BLI及び大和ハウスは、BLIとNCRの合併を新たな再生計画案とする。しかし、NCRは、上記再生支援は裁判所に提出の再生計画案の本質的な変更であるとし、プレスリリースでは「法的に許されないものと考えられる」と反対の姿勢を明確化している。再生計画案における金利等の条件を債権者の希望に添えるように変更し、現在の再生計画案を進めていく意向を示している。
