日本都市ファンド投資法人（JMF）及び産業ファンド投資法人（IIF）の現スポンサーである三菱商事とUBSが、資産運用会社である三菱商事・ユービーエス・リアルティの全株式を米国投資会社であるKKRの子会社へ4月に売却することを発表した。売却額は2,300億円。これによりJMF及びIIFのスポンサーがKKRに交代する。 併せて三菱商事が保有するJMF及びIIFの投資口も全てKKRへ売却する。 KKRにとっては、JMFとIIFはアジアの不動産投資における核ファンドの位置付けとなる予定。 一方、三菱商事にとっては事業ポートフォリオの入替えとなり、今後の不動産事業は、私募REIT、私募ファンド、海外事業を成長分野とする。 スポンサー交代後もJMFとIIFの運用方針に変更はない予定。
