日本リート投資法人（NRIC）の資産運用会社の株式67％を保有する双日が、保有株式全てをSBIホールディングスの子会社であるSBIフィナンシャルサービシーズへ11月末までに売却する。 これによりNRICの主要スポンサーが双日からSBIグループへ変更となる。 双日においては、事業ポートフォリオの入替え・強化を目的として売却を決定。 一方、SBIグループにおいては、不動産金融事業の拡大を目的にJ-REIT市場へ参入する。SBIグループは2021年6月に東西アセット・マネジメントを買収し不動産運用事業へ本格的に取組み、2022年8月末時点の不動産運用残高は1,760億円となる。 双日が保有するNRICの投資口（発行済投資口数の3.44％）を取得するとともに、SBIグループのネットワークを用いた物件取得や不動産テック活用、金融シナジーをNRICの成長に繋げる構え。 なお、NRICの運用方針は現時点で変更なし。またNRICのサブスポンサーであるクッシュマン・アンド・ウェイクフィールド・アセットマネジメントとアジリティー・アセット・アドバイザーズは、引き続き資産運用会社の株式を保有する。
